I love quotes. When I have spare time I search quote websites and even have a few books of my own to peruse through. Its funny how one day a quote won't mean much to you but the next it resonates into every fiber of you. Today I was randomly looking at quotes and found one that fits perfectly with what is going on in my life now.
"What you allow is what will continue!" (Author unknown)
How truthful is that? This morning I was crunched for time as I was leaving my house. I kept thinking that its alright if I stop by Sonic and grab one of their long as I keep it to only hashbrowns...maybe an orange juice though. Then I stopped and mentally grabbed myself by the shoulders and made myself realize thats why I am in this situation. I made the excuse of time...then made the excuse of I hadn't been to a fast food restuarant in awhile so a treat is fine right? I finally stopped before taking that leap and drank one of those carnation instant breakfasts and had a piece of toast. May not be the perfect breakfast but sitting here now I feel better knowing that instead of taking in a whole bunch of fat and grease and empty calories I ate food that was packed with vitamins and nutrients I need to better fuel my body. Now when I go to track my food I won't think I am being yelled at when asked what I ate...I will feel it as more of a small victory.
