Pretty sure 172.5 is where I started at this week. And that's where I am now...... emoticon I thought for sure I'd make it to 171 by now. Bummer.

I know I haven't been over-eating.

I had candy a couple of times, but it wasn't much, and I wanted to be polite because one of my patients offered me some jelly beans at internship....maybe I should have turned them down, I guess....*sigh*!

Maybe my body is just waiting for me to start working out to kick my weight loss into high-gear. At least I'll have the day off of work tomorrow and the next day, so I suppose I'll do some short workouts then.

But you know what they say: Slow and steady wins the race! As long as I am eating healthy, and eating less, the pounds WILL melt off. It will just take some time.

    I gain water weight on the 11th or 12th day of my cycle (ovulation), and on the 25th or 26th day. I also gain water weight when I increase my workout intensity (your body needs water to heal/build muscle). I also gain some when I drink carbonated beverages, salty food, and/or eat too late at night. If you really track all of these things over the months, you'll start to see patterns. If that is too much work, it is better to just tell yourself that these things are probably happening and you'll see a big drop in the future (as you are probably already doing). I guarantee it will only hurt you and make you want to give up if you blame the lack of weight loss on a few jelly beans when you are doing everything else right. If you go 6 weeks without losing, you're on a plateau and there a plenty of spots on this website that can help you get through that. emoticon

    It happens. No explanation, no reason, it's just your body. It sucks, but you should take this opportunity to realize the scale is not god. It doesn't tell you that you are working hard and doing the right thing. It is "ONE" tool in a large bag of tools. Just try to remember that.

    hmmm, when was the start of the week? Did u count the week- Friday to Friday? Or did u look at it as Monday to Friday? Friday to Friday would've been a week- and if its not the way u weighed in, then u might still lose for the week. And like u said, slow and steady wins the race. :)
    Your doing everything ur supposed to. But exercise does help alittle. its calories in, calories out. Yesterday i had a crappy meal, but woke up to no gain, and that's because my workout burned the calories I had eaten.
    If your not one to really be jumpy or anything, I like walk away the pounds, simple low impact walking exercise. U can do a mile or more.
    Every day is Day One.
