SP Coaching…more news

Friday, March 22, 2013

Well, a complete week of 'coaching' under my belt, and I LOVE it! Has helped me SO, SO much! Some things that I've been pondering as I go through these coaching sessions:

The "tipping point" theory from "The Spark". GREAT concept! Keep doing the good things and eventually your body will change. www.sparkpeople.com/mypa

"But learning to satisfy them [cravings] in a controlled manner will keep your relationship with food in balance."Coaching session

I LOVE the idea of having a HEALTHY relationship with food! Now obviously I don't believe that having treats is WRONG, but I need to be BALANCED! So this picture is not ENTIRELY accurate! ha!

"Keep on fueling the inner fire." From coaching session. For me, I LOVE the idea of the INNER fire [Jesus!] fueling my drive and perseverance!

Some news from our home:

This week I tried the new EXTRA dessert delights gum: Lemon Bars. YUM! Highly recommend if you like lemon desserts.

We had French Dip sandwiches this week, and I FINALLY made a decent 'thin bun'. Only 1.5 oz. and only 97 calories and 3 grams of fat and 3 grams of protein. Here is my recipe: recipes.sparkpeople.com/

Here is the picture of my dinner all for less than 400 calories! emoticon

The other day we had about 100 birds in our feeder! Not a very good picture, but you can KIND of tell! It was AMAZING!

And, finally, we are having an early Easter dinner tomorrow night. We leave next week for our son's graduation from Bootcamp and will have Easter at my parents, but because the older boys won't be there, and before they leave to go back to college after being here for Spring break, we are having a dinner here, as well.

Some pics from last Easter:

Looking VERY forward to a full table with friends and family.

Okay, well, that's it for the week.

Love you all, Susan

I can imagine how awesome those birds were. Today when I was mowing there were about 20 bumblebees in the wisteria. I have never seen so many in one place. emoticon

So glad the coaching is giving you that little extra to propel you forward. emoticon

Absolutely beautiful! I so enjoy all the wildlife we get to enjoy in our beautiful northland and your French dip and roll and dinner look so yummy. Is that one of your stuffed potatoes, too? What a gorgeous Easter table. What a great look at the length of your table (Lord knows, you have quite a large and loving family) I just had a brief vision of the future, where many of your children have spouses and come home for a reunion: the children have a table (card tables) set up to the side, while the adults gather as best as possible at the huge table (Oh my, the table is too small). Who would have guessed! Now I understand why reunions happen in the summer: The outdoor space is required to seat everyone as together as possible. On the fun note, I've visited the International White House where I live and it's amazing how comfy 30 people can dine and party in a small one-bedroom efficiency apartment: What a display of love! Regardless of how much space we have, it all comes together and works! -- and besides, you're gifted in the art of hospitality! Love you, dear friend! Hug, hug -- Evelyn
