A Diabetic's Nightmare

Friday, March 22, 2013

Wow, I had a diabetic nightmare Thursday. I all of a sudden got really woozy and started to shake. That only means one thing and that I need to eat before I pass out. I got 2 young children and a 93 year old grandma here at home so that would not be good, as I do not want the ambulance called. So, I got to eat a carb feast to bring my blood sugar back up. I think I may have over done the carbs, but the feeling of passing out is just so weird that I eat until the feeling goes away. I had 2 bananas, so I could make oat bran with honey on top. That has not happened in a long time and hope it doesn’t happen again soon. It takes a long time to recover from that. I forgot to add oat bran to my carb choices. So, I am reminding myself to only eat oat bran, sweet potatoes, bananas, and quinoa.

Thur. Goals:
20 min KB Rows, 5 reps - ten sets of 5 reps

96 oz water and iced green tea - still needs work

1200 cals low carb – nope, not with the carb overload

Friday Goals:
20 min DKB Presses, 5 reps

96 oz water and iced green tea

Down Day low carb day

That sounds so scary. I fast three days a week and have never felt anything like that. Take care of yourself and maybe see your Dr. soon.

That is so scary! We're you fasting? Fasting makes me nervous for a regular person never mind a diabetic! How old are your kids? Do they know how to call 911? Please be careful with your strict nutrition regimen. I am sorry that happened! emoticon

Wow, clearly you don't have the luxury of not paying attention to intake! You take care of yourself. Hope you are recovered.
