Week 2 Non-Fitness Challenge

My goals to accomplish during this challenge:

1. Be active everyday.
2. Eat healthy 6 days out of the week.
3. Quit drinking soda.
......stop drinking my calories and start drinking more water.
4. Lose 20lbs by Mother's day

    Great plans. Concerning the ditching the soda and replacing with water, I have found that adding some flavored things to my water helps a lot: a slice of lemon, orange, cucumber or a sprig of mint, no sweeteners though.
One thing I have found helpful as far as weight loss goals is to make the primary focus things I can control (like exercising so much every week, eating a certain way) rather than the results which I can't perfectly control (like exact number of pounds lost) because this way I can reward myself for having done my very best, regardless of the results. If I stay motivated and have a positive outlook then I will eventually reach my permanent goals, and, more important, maintain them. emoticon emoticon
