After finishing my work shift I was absolutely exhausted emotionally and physically.
I had already decided that I 'deserved' a coffee and a Cornish Pasty (vegan chilli) - which I did have (and tracked).
First stop was the lovely local deli where I sometimes get a coffee to go - they have all sorts of delicious things in there - but today my eye was attracted to a new product: funky varieties of popping corn in little 90g packets. I chose one called 'MIDNIGHT BLUE' and when I got home I weighed myself out 30g of corn with 1TBS olive oil and had fun popping the corn! It made a sensible bowlful - about a 250kcal snack - which I really, really enjoyed. Much better than other food things I could have bought. (I did learn that not all kernels pop) The make was zaramama - and I'd love to try the other varieties of corn to see if they taste different! I've not been a popcorn person previously - but this could be my go-to snack-fix when I need one! Pop! Pop!
The second new thing I'm trying is some all-natural chewing gum - Peppersmith natural chicle gum, sweetened with xylitol. I am using it after a meal to curb the feeling of needing something sweet to finish a meal off. Yum! Yum!
