Taking on the last 50 lbs

So as of this morning, after 3 consecutive days of the scale telling me the same story, I have dropped down to 50 lbs to lose. Technically, I have 49.4 lbs left to lose but I don't want to log in tenths or half pounds until much closer to goal weight. Until then, I will round up. So excited to take up this challenge! I even wore jeans today for casual Friday. I don't usually participate, but I honestly don't think these jeans are going to fit for much longer and I wanted to get a little more use out of them :p

The only thing that is sad is that as my weight goes down, so does my BMR (basal metabolic rate). This basically means that the more weight I lose and the lighter I become, the harder it will be to lose the same amount of weight. On the other hand, the more weight I lose the more fit I will become. I really need to work on increasing my muscle mass. As we all know, a pound of muscle burns way more calories than a pound of fat.

What I have been doing so far is working for me, so I will continue with what I have been doing AND slowly add more healthy choices and decisions to my day.

    Good for you! I am right there with ya, my ultimate goal is to lose 50lbs more. But taking it in baby steps to not get overwhelmed. We can do this! emoticon
