In a Kung-Fu movie kindof mood

Friday, March 22, 2013

Last night I suggested to the Boy that we watch Ong Bak because I was in a martial-arts movie mood. He suggested Ip Man instead. *sigh*

Don't get me wrong, Ip Man is a very good movie, but that's kindof the point. Rather than being a "martial-arts movie" per-say, it's a movie. It has a full plot, believable characters, and -- apparently -- the occasional historical accuracy. Now Ong Bak also has some of those things, but really what I was seeking was martial arts fun: instead I got a full-blown movie. A good one, but still. Isn't it supposed to be the Boy who wants to watch mindless violence? I am the girl in this relationship, right?

Strangely enough, I'm still in one of those moods. Probably because it was going to take something a bit more mindless to enjoy. Maybe The Magnificent Butcher, or "Where's My Elephant!?" (also known by it's actual title: The Protector), Kung Fu Hustle (seriously underrated!), or the like.

Well, can't resolve that craving tonight: 14 hours of work, and then either karaoke (if I have the energy), or relaxing time with the Boy before work tomorrow. *sigh* Soon, though. Must resolve mah Kung-Fu-Kravings!

HA! Threaten to kick the Boy's butt if he won't give you what you need (extra points if you do it while making your lips move differently than what you're saying!) emoticon
