Engine 2 Day 22 - Week 4 Choosing to Thrive

Friday, March 22, 2013

Time sure has flown by. My last E2 meeting is on Wednesday so my weigh in will be a day before I actually complete the challenge but that's okay... the scale is but a tool to chart my progress. My blood glucose numbers are getting back to what they were so whether it is the plantstrong meals or the meds who knows. What is important is the healing.

I forgot to post the menu yesterday... for dinner we had soft tacos.
Today's menu-
Rips big bowl
Hummus cuke wrap
Portabello burgers

Some of you have commented on how the meditation challenge and E2 have dovetailed for me. I think it's true too... I'm at the point where I WANT the changes in my life. Setting up systems to support my healthy lifestyle. I still have a lot of processing to do, and perhaps I over think things. But the components are coming together into a doable supportive lifestyle.

Yesterday Centering Thought was:
I choose foods that help me thrive.

Choosing what helps me thrive, resonated with me. The program here at SP was one of the steps of my journey. Finding exercise that I liked was another step. Creating an environment to support me, was another. (the environment still needs more work)
We all like pleasure, the pleasure I got from my old ways was an illusion/delusion, that still left me looking for more. Choosing what helps me thrive is satisfying and has benefits.

When we thrive we feel alive! This is working so well for you.

And: re your comment on my tasters blog . . . being opinionated is a GREAT quality and never anything to apologize for, right?

I think creating the environment is always a challenge when there are others in the house! TC has his own "snack cabinet" and mostly I stay out of it....MOSTLY....

I'm glad to hear your blood glucose numbers have been improving.
