Psalm 68:19 NKJV Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

Today is a new day! Yesterday is gone and today God has given me a new load of His benefits to meet the challenges of my life! He is the God of my salvation who watches over me and cares for each of my life! Today I will experience the benefit of the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ walking with me through the challenges that I experience giving me the benefit of His wisdom, knowledge and presence! This is the first day of the rest of my life! Will I make it for good or for bad? The choice is mine. I can walk in His benefits or I can try to walk it out through my own strength and power. One way works and the other one doesn't.

Confession for today based on God's word: I will walk through my life today with the choice to live with God's benefits, blessings, encouragement and wisdom. I choose His way over mine today to live in the fullness of all that He has for me.

Prayer for today: Father, I thank You for the benefits of your salvation that You have prepared for me today. I choose to walk in Your ways, Father, to know You and to experience the abundant life that Jesus died to give me. Thank You for helping me make the right choices that lead to a healthy lifestyle today! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Thank you Avanell. Yes, for me today was the first day of the rest of my life. I invited my sister who is not close with me out for lunch to celebrate her birthday. I was prompted to ask her which is the first time we have ever gone to lunch together. After 3 hours, i saw things in a different light and was glad I asked her. I was able to learn so much about her health problems and felt God has really blessed me with the so few I have. We had such a great time and I'm looking forward to going again at some point. Have a Blessed weekend.
God Bless you.

Thanks for you help earlier today. May I always remember to thank God for my difficulties each day. That will allow me to focus on the gifts of God and not my problems today.

Yes, I am with you on this. In the beginning of my steady walk whenever I let something slip that was NOT God's Word, dh always reminded me, "you can HAVE what you say!" That sure did stick with me emoticon emoticon emoticon Thanks for the GOOD Word and prayer.

I am the type of person that this message needs to be repeated for it to finally sink in, as I consistently rely upon my own strength and that way does not glorify God. Thank you for your posts, such a blessing!! emoticon emoticon

Avanell, "This is the first day of the rest of my life." I choose, as your readers do, to walk in the benefits of the day! On days, it seems minus benefits, but we see as He sees the blessings galore as we recall the day of salvation when unmerited we received pardon and freedom. I am quite excited at your blog and I thank you as I thank God for the abundance of challenges ahead. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
