how committed am I?

Friday, March 22, 2013

Spark had a good article about checking your level of commitment to living the way you know is best for you. I read it and am thinking it over. I'm somewhere between slight committed and fully committed. This week I didn't track my food and I'm annoyed with myself about it but there you are-I didn't. Mostly because I didn't WANT to enter all those tortilla chips and see how many calories they are!!
BUT-I did get up every day, Monday through Friday-and exercise. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I used a Spark-generated plan for strength building. Tuesday and Thursday I walked and jogged on the treadmill.
Exercise is my friend-when I exercise I feel better about all the other crazy stuff at work and in life generally. Keeps my mood up.

I can completely relate to not tracking because you just don't want to know! Ugh, sometimes the truth is UGLY. I've been "maintaining" for years now, and have JUST committed to tracking EVERYTHING a week or two ago. Man...it is hard, and so eye opening.

It sounds like you are on a roll with exercise, and I think you're right. That should be celebrated! Keep it up! Remember each day is a new day.
