I am truly a woman on a mission. Today, I worked out in the morning doing Les Mills' Power, which has my arms very sore! After my workout, I packed my workout clothes to get my run in from Couch-2-5K (C25K) for later on this evening.
I am so glad I live in an apartment complex that has a regular treadmill, because I cannot run on my Treadclimber unless I want end up breaking my neck. So, back to my run, I did not come to my apartment after work. Instead, I went to the clubhouse to get my run in. I was doing Week #1 Day #2 of the C25K. I was getting so tired after the last few minutes of the run and I almost stopped. However, I kept telling myself that I can finish today's run. I ended up finishing it! Whew! After the run, I had to walk with my workout buddy, Skeeter! After all of this working out, I had to stretch my sore muscles.
So, I ended up doing over 10,000 steps today and part of it is due to my determination to finish that run! I am a woman who is on a mission this year! I'm still eating as clean as possible. With the use of my Fitbit, I'm getting 7-8 hours of sleep. I'm taking my vitamins. This weekend, I'm treating myself to a massage, because this has been a great week thus far with my workouts and eating!
I am so proud of myself. I'm going to continue this journey of being healthier and fit! I am definitely seeing results, especially in my abs and hips! Thank goodness because these are some serious problem areas for me! Like the mantra from Black Girls Run, I'm preserving my sexy! Okay, at least, I'm trying to! LOL!
