I was watching Dr. Oz

Thursday, March 21, 2013

I watched Dr. Oz the other day to learn about grains. He was just as shocked as I was about bran and wheat germ NOT being whole grains and they are considered traps. So, we need to watch our labels. He says it should be listed first on your ingredient list but as whole grain. FYI: oatmeal is not a whole grain. (I personally am not a fan!) emoticon

I love him because #1 he's hot and #2 he is so down to earth. I get confused with all the ways they label things, so this kinda clears it up. ThanksGirls! emoticon

Thanks for sharing this. . . I look for WHOLE grain on the ingredient lists and not things like whole wheat. I wasn't aware of the bran and wheat germ though.
