Spring Gardening, Part 2

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Report on part 1: The pots have lots of little green leaves in them now. My beans are coming up, one by one! I hope I get a pot full.

Today's gardening was for beauty--plants in the pots by the front door, a new rose bush in the back flower bed along with plants that should bloom in reds, yellows, and purples. Day lilies that should delight the rabbits! That's the problem with living in the country--things like your green plants before you ever see them bloom. But I keep trying!!

    Sounds lovely!

I haven't tried roses in quite some time -- had a couple bushes with little pink non-scented flowers that were actually quite successful for awhile.... Hmmmm....might look to see which ones are foolproof in this area. My mom had a beautiful Lady Banksia on her back deck that lasted for years.
