Have you ever been, disappointed in someone you thought was your friend?
Well I have and am at the moment. A good friend invited us to go on vacation with them, I knew my hubby didn't want to go with them, they're nice but not for a whole week on vacation. So we planned our own vacation and know they're upset.

I feel hurt about this, I mean I pay my own vacation, yes the kids would have gotten along, there were a few good points, but a few bad as well , so like I said now my old friend isn't speaking to me, wow.

Besides being hurt, what do I do? I'm too old to care what people think but I do have feelings you know, cause if I didn't I would never have to diet right??
Thanks for letting me get it off my chest, hopefully, I'll feel lighter??

Hope you both can work things out. I think her feelings are hurt and hopefully she wil get over it with time. I can see where you are disappointed in her for reacting that way if anything a friend should be understanding especially if you told her politely it is not for everyone to go on vacation with friends.

I hope you guys can get past it. She's probably hurt, which in turn, now you're hurt. Seems silly when in the end, nobody is REALLY hurt by taking seperate vacations. give her some time and then hopefully you guys can discuss it and work it out.

I would expect that she is hurt also. Maybe that is why she isn't talking to you. Hopefully you both can work through this and get back what you had.

I think you might be right to be disappointed in her, but if you declined in a polite way and you were respectful of her feelings, she will likely get over it.

Since you are hurt, I think it is fair to say you are going to have to talk about this again or your friendship will not recover.

Feel better and be good to yourself.
