Spent morning working out the medicare/primary insurance issues that occur when you retire. It's been three months, and still they haven't updated records. Crazy world we live in. Control freaks everywhere...for example, imagine my surprise when watching a few minutes of NASCAR (GO K.Khane)..the other day..and the sportscasters show a diagram of the race track (which takes 15 seconds to lap during the race)...and mentions that one of the drivers had gotten a ticket/citation/penalty/whatev
er you call it for (now get this....!!!) not reducing his speed on the certain portions of the track ----this all has something to do with pit-row...and is probably very important to have, etc..but seriously..they have designed the race track in such a way that the drivers have "speed zones".while racing??????... I still cant stop laughing every time I think of it.
Now the real reason for today's blog: Today is the youngest I will ever be...Today is the only day I can control what I put into my mouth. Today I start a major PUSH for deadline in May. I forget the exact date, but in mid-May I have an appointment with my primary care physician...physical...so today I set the appointment..and arranged to do the lab work the week before...so she will have the results. I hate it when you go in for a physical, and they order labs, and then y9u have to go back for them to tell you. Seems like a waste. Of course, if the dr decides they want some other labs done other than the normal ones..well that's a different story..but for the normal levels...cholosteral, calcium, blah, blah blah..this works great.
my goal is to lose at least 15 lbs between today and the date of the first dr. appt. I will also call and make an appointment with my heart doc...so he can use the same blood work, etc. (always trying to save the government's dime)
I hopped on the scale the other day..and since I retired January 1, I have gained about 10 lbs this is a shock to me..so I have to get back to where I was before my dr. appointment. So...today is Day One
Protein, vegetables, fruits and minimum carbs for the next few weeks for me.
Did I tell you I love BREAD....did you know BREAD is Not my friend????
