and is still roaring. What on earth is going on, Mother Nature? Gaea, are you that mad at us? Are you awakening from your deep sleep, wrecking havoc on our lovely humid continental, ever predicatble seasonable weather? It's March. It's supposed to be miserable out, but not with feet of snow! Hopefully the Prophecy of 7 will be successful, and the demi-gods will be able to close the doors of death, so that those who should be kept in Tartarus remain in Tartarus. *Spark goodie for anyone who gets that reference!!!*
I like summer. I love summer! i have a summer birthday philosophy, that if you are born in summer (in a traditional summer, not a Siberian summer), then you are more prone to loving heat and summer in all it's humid glory. I live in Massachusetts and haven't lived beyond the northeastern seaboard, so humid summers is what I know, no offense to all the Phoenixites, Portlanders or other non-continetal climate-ers that may be reading this blog. That being said, I'm going to be going to school through my birthday. Okay, not really, but it certainly seems like it! I'm all for sleeping in, but snow storms in mid-March are better left for Murmansk, not Metropolitan Boston.
Needless to say, my quasi-couch to 5K program has come to a screeching halt. I'm not really doing the program, I'm doing more of a 40 minute jog/walk program, in that each time I go out, I try to run for longer than I walk. If i can increase a bit each time, even if it is just to the next tree, eventually I'll be able to put it all together.
I am also battling an injury-thanks Lion of March, perhaps you sat on my neck. I'm benched from gymnastics and yoga until further notice, and dance is going to be limited until I can turn my neck enough to do spot my turns. Pinched nerve. Blah.
Off to make some dinner! I have taken to marching (ha!) in place and watching my fitbit do it's magic. Silly, but effective.
