Registry office, archaic paperwork sorted...

Thursday, March 21, 2013

We had registry office appointment on Tuesday and YAY we "passed" the questioning and paid our fees, and we will have registration papers in about two weeks time. Called the registry office in Blackpool where we are getting married, paid the booking fee and set a time!

Officially have a wedding date and time now!

Just waiting on getting the book of words we can choose from and then have to pay the other almighty chunk of fees... it really grates... the registry office is about 5 minutes walk from The Winter Gardens where we are getting married... it costs 40 to get married in the registry office... or 300 to ask them to walk 5 minutes down the pedestrian area to the Winter Gardens but anyway, its all sorted.

We are officially getting married!

Weddings are just a way for people to make money off of ceremony. It's like that everywhere. And I hate that they're exploiting love like that, but hey, we all gotta make a buck right? But so glad to hear you're official!!!

This year will be our 50th Anniversary. We were criticized because i did not want a big wedding. My MIL was being nasty telling people I was pregnant-NO WAY- and it would not last.
Today we are better than ever and more in love in a special way.
I hope the two of you will be as good as we have been despite being married in a registry office with 6 people in attendance. It saved my mother a lot of money and I was adamant that it would be that way. I have NEVER regretted it. I altered hundreds of wedding gowns in my alterations shop and I never thought about missing the white wedding day. Instead I had the perfect wedding and marriage so far. HUGS and VERY BEST WISHES for you FUTURE HAPPINESS. emoticon emoticon emoticon
