hoo boy unexpected food days

Thursday, March 21, 2013

well not exactly. I knew Easter was going to be a splurge day, we have two family events. But it turns out my aunt and uncle can't make Easter dinner so my mom is doing a big fried chicken and dumplings dinner this Sun so they can be there, then we're all going out to eat on Easter. So my task is to plan breakfast and lunch accordingly for this Sunday, try to not go way over my range in other words chicken with no skin (ok maybe one bite of the crunchy yumminess) small helping of dumplings, and largeer helping of the green beans that will no doubt be the other side dish, share a roll with my kiddo or skip it, and just a small serving of dessert.

Easter lunch is easy enough at hubby's grandma's, dinner will be the trick. I want to enjoy and relax but I also want to continue to eat fairly healthy. Guess it will depend on where we go out to eat. I have time to think about it though so I can prepare to do my best on those days.

Be prepared! That is a great motto! Planning is really the key to success and also sanity. I am still learning that. But really, it sounds like you have a plan and it will minimize any damage to your calorie count. So, good plan! Now you just need to implement it when the time comes. Have a great weekend! Keep sparking. emoticon

You're on the right track--planning is very important. Increase the exercise a bit, too. That also helps with the stress of these special days. Enjoy!
