My Mother is My Hero

My mother is turning 82 next week and I sent her a beautiful card. I feel so bad that I can't do more. She lives in Wisconsin in the same house since 1957. I moved to Florida almost 30 years ago and I regret it, although I'm very happy with my life, but I have missed my mother so much. I have missed all the holidays, birthdays, weddings, and babies . . . . My mother would have been such a help when I was raising my kids. She feels bad that she didn't see my two sons much when they were little.
My mother is an incredible Christian woman. She taught elementary school for 30 years at a Lutheran school. The same one she went to as a child when it was just one room and the school I and all my brothers and sisters attended and now my niece and nephew attend. She was married for 53 years until my father passed away in 2006.
I don't remember my mother EVER raising her voice or saying a "bad" word. She was always calm and kind. Amazing.
My mother at 82 is extremely healthy. She doesn't have any health issues of any kind and doesn't take any medication. She rarely drinks, eats a healthy diet, and walks for exercise daily. She is truly my inspiration for leading a Godly life.
She may quite likely live to 100. I pray she does. She will be sorely missed by so many people when she goes to be with the Lord in Heaven. I know her passing will leave a big hole in my heart.
My mother is truly my hero.
