OK. So I started this blog about how I decided NOT to do the C25K, but while looking for the above pictures, I came across some awesome sites about learning to not hate running and the following pics.













So I guess the bottom line is this. Though I did not finish my training session today, because I HATE running, I will do it tomorrow. Because I hate being fat worse than I hate running.

    I really use to hate running myself--even now I still really hate the feeling of my joints a'knocking and my lungs being on fire. However, I'm starting to walk faster and faster, doing little jolts of running (like, 2 or 3 minutes at a time) so that running seems like a fun little option instead of something that I hate having to do. The more I walk, the easier the little jolts become--and I can do more of them!

I really love these pictures you put up though--I saved them on my phone so that they can play as part of a "motivational picture" slideshow while I listen to music in the gym!

    I am a new runner (3 weeks in). I have decided that running is a mind thing and when I think about how much I hate it or how difficult I find it to be, I don't always give it my best effort. I set myself up to fail. Now I just zone out with some hype music and go for it . . . I try not to bemoan it as much. I give each run whatever I have in me to give even if it isn't much . . . a bad run is still better than no run at all. Loved this blog! I'm going to swipe some of the pictures to post on my running group's site!

    Great pics!!! I have been there! It is a journey for sure. And while I can't say I love running (YET), I am so close to that. I can say I am a runner though. Keep pushing.

Right after my first official 5k, I tore my ACL (knee). Just picked it up again and running a few days a week, not far mind you, but running none the less :)
