I made it to the gym last night - I had a breif moment of why bother? but then the thought of having to admit to all my spark friends that I've yet again failed was unbearable - what ever gets us motivated right?
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill - started off with a 5 minute warm up at 2.5 - then alternated running for 1 minute at 5 and walking for 2 minutes at 2.5 - finished with a 6 minute cooldown at 2.5.
Then I moved on to the recumbant bike for a solid 30 minutes - I was 15 minutes in when I thought about stopping - but when I first got into the gym I saw the guy who signed me up "Danny" - such a cutie and I enjoy getting to flirt with him a little when I show up - he's always so happy and has been able to give me a lot of good advice - I told him I'd been having a rough couple of days that I had to stay for at least 1 hour. So if I walked past him to leave before that hour was up I knew he'd call me out on it and honestly I didn't have a good reason for leaving early - sure I was a little tired and my knee was kinda sore - but should that stop me? hell no! So I kept pushing for the last 15 minutes and I made it.
On top of the hour at the gym I also had the 10 minute walk home - once I made it through the door I had a quick dinner (skillet lasagna & salad) and was in bed fast asleep by 9:30! I've been so tired all week and haven't been sleeping well that I was determined to make last night an early night - I pretty much slept straight through until 6:10am. I know I woke up a couple of times, but went back to sleep really quickly.
Tonight is 30 minutes on the treadmill and I think some strength training - the gym has this 20 minute circuit with the weight machines I'm thinking I'll go through twice :)
