Finding motivation without the scale

Lately I have noticed that my size 16 pants have been fitting very nicely. In fact, they are beginning to feel like my weekend baggy sweat pants! emoticon

So today, while getting ready for work, I figured I would try on my size 14 dark brown dress pants for work. This was purely a laziness move on my behalf since my other brown pants were in the dryer. I know when I tried these on a month ago, I couldn't get them past my thighs. Not the best feeling in the world.

Today, they pulled all the way up. Ohhh a small victory, I thought. But will they button or feel like one good sneeze will strip me? I carefully buttoned and zipped them up. Okay so they buttoned and zipped up, but did I look like a sausage in them?

Took one look in the mirror and they looked pretty darn good. They are tight enough to not look baggy yet lose enough to not look like yoga pants. Success! emoticon

I have to admit, I am feeling pretty gosh darn good today in my size 14 pants. I missed being a size 14 and I have plenty of pants tucked away in hopes of fitting into them again.

If I keep this up, my size 16 pants will be shipped to good will. Ahhh that would be so nice!

    emoticon I really know how you feel. There's nothing like being able to fit into something that you "didn't" think you could. I wouldn't say that it was a "lazy" move that prompted this, maybe it was time for you to try a new size??????

    Anyhoo, congrats on the exhilirating high I'm sure that you are having............ emoticon ......

    Congrats!!!! A very good feeling. I noticed the other day that my usual work pants looked too baggy and I didn't feel comfortable wearing them to work any more so I know how great that feeling is. After measuring over the weekend, found that I'd lost 3.5 inches off the waist and 3 inches off the hips so even though my scale isn't telling me good things, the numbers are still positive. Stay strong and keep on doing what you've been doing because obviously you've been doing great! Here's to the size 12s!
