So I saved money again yesterday after I ran some quick errands after my dentist appt. My husband was home in time to take my daughter to her favorite book club at the library and so since I was already uptown, I did some grocery shopping.
I went by Dollar Tree and ended up using 9 coupons there. They have been taking coupons for a little while now (I think they started last year) and I ended up getting these huge El Montery burritos for FREE since my coupons were for $1 off any product made by them.
They also had Tony's pizza that I had coupons for as well that I bought. Yes, I realize this is not healthy food, but these are small individual pizzas and although I don't eat them, my husband would buy the kids Pizza Hut or some other product and not use a coupon. Therefore, I sometimes buy things like that for them.
They also had Oiknos (Stonyfield) frozen yogurt. I had no coupons but couldn't believe they had that there!
I did buy plenty of healthy food at Sam's Club such as organic Pink Lady apple slices, strawberries, Romaine lettuce, almond butter, cage-free eggs, etc. Hopefully I redeemed myself, LOL.
One thing I have been noticing is that my local Sam's Club now offers more organic produce, which is awesome! They even carry quinoa now, so they are definitely improving and I feel I get more from my membership.
