If you are trying to reach a goal and get stuck or you're just not getting there, do you just keep doing the same thing?
If you said yes, then WHY!
Yes there are times when we have momentary (short) plateaus or hick-ups but that isn't what I am talking about!
Are you playing yo-yo with your body and your weight loss? Have you become stuck in your Spark people routine and not able to learn or change anymore?
I won't believe that you have read every article, watched every video, made every recipe, visited every button on each page, taken every quiz & poll & answered every trivia question. Read all of the relevant medical articles that relate to your condition/s. Signed up for, received and read every Spark People email! Read all of the encouraging and supportive blogs and interacted with all of your Spark Friends. Swapped out every non-healthy, poor nutrition, high calorie foods for Healthy, Nutritious, Lower Calorie foods that have a low glycemic rating. And you track your food and do your fitness training regularly? Used every option for your Spark Page and went through all of the Spark Point options daily on a regular basis without shooting for spark points but using them to guide you to ALL of the Spark Site goodness that is laced throughout this entire Spark World! You have dumped all of your old habits and replaced them with good routines and disciplines! And you tell me that you've reached a plateau and stuck there!
I'd have to say congratulations! It must mean that you are at your ideal weight, physically toned in great health and you should be proud of being stuck there!
Otherwise think abut what you can do differently and then do it! If you are stuck and can't budge from where you are, look at the list of resources that I have just named off and do something different! Add a fitness training session, park father from the grocery store, leave your money at home and walk the mall! Use the steps instead of the elevator! Whatever you do, don't just keep doing the same thing!
Then after a month of trying something new and you're still stuck, try something else! There are plenty of options! Get someone that you adore to be your workout Drill Sargent or get that significant other to be the food police! Something! There is always something you can do!
Then if you are still stuck, walk into the bathroom, look in the mirror and say to that person in the reflection "We really don't mind being stuck, DO WE?
