Our last Lenten soup supper went well. We had chili, a brothy potato
and cheese soup and wild goose stew. That was one peppery dish.
Of course the wild taste came out but it was good-in small portions.
Since tonight was the last night, all the leftovers were shared with
those willing to take home soup, cookies, cake and bread.
And the best feeling was knowing that our little group of parishioners,
the 15 to 20 faithful, gave over $1,000 to support our Sunday morning
church service that is televised on a local channel. I am sure they
will be very grateful for the donation to continue this worthy mission.
Just a short week and a half until Easter. I think if the weather gets
back to it's seasonal normal, we will all be happier. But just the blessing
of that day is sufficient.
