It can never be THAT bad...

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Woke up this morning and turned on the news before work, like I always do...saw a story about a murder-suicide yesterday...they didn't provide a lot of details so I proceeded to get dressed and headed to work...

Get to work and log onto Facebook and come to find out that a guy that I graduated high school with killed his exwife (divorce was finalized on yesterday) and then committed suicide...leaving behind their 7 yr old daughter...thankfully, she was not at home at the time...naturally everyone that was part of our class is in shock/disbelief...some had talked to him over the just goes to show that you never know what people are dealing with in their lives...

I wish he would have reached out to someone to discuss his feelings/anger and that he would have realized that a "divorce" isn't the end of the can get past it...just an all around tragedy for eveyone involved...

R.I.P. Andre and Catina Murphy...

That's so sad. Like Lilshine said it does seem to be becoming more normal. Uunfortunately, it's only shocking when it's close to home because we hear it so much & news reports blow by it so quickly that we become immune to it, not stopping to think of the severity. There has to be some sort of societal shift to change the way we react to things and a rebuilding of our personal social support systems so we, as a whole, have outlets to release our anger and frustration in nonviolent, constructive ways. It's just devastatingly disappointing.
emoticon emoticon emoticon Hugs & prayers to everyone affected.

wow. That is horrible. Sorry to hear it happened. What's worse is that a lot of people think death is the solution when they are hurt. I stay prayerful for this world.

It's so sad that this seems to be becoming normal. I always say, get help, talk to somebody or just take your life. Not everyone. I'm glad he didn't take the daughters life too. Prayers for the family it's got to be hard on everyone! That's why I get to the point where I can't watch the news

Wow! A former student at our school was killed by her mother's boyfriend and he then killed her mother too. Afterwards, he committed suicide.

There was a double funeral which I hope I'll never have to attend another one of those ever again in my lifetime. Ugh!

Tragedy for real!
