Socializing = Epic Calories

I actually got out of the house this week, and really connected with great friends who I just haven't been spending enough time with. This time cost me, however -- not just in money spent on food I really didn't need, but in the CALORIE content of EATING that food (which I neither needed to buy nor consume).

So, this coming week, I'm going to make a point of finding outdoorsy, movement-based quality time activities to share with these same friends.

(I'm going to put the five pounds I gained back, down to 1/2 muscle, 1/2 overeating, and 1/2 water bloat. :D)

    ack! I've done that too... strategically suggesting different venues (either lower cal options or active destinations) has worked well for me in the past.

    I too often have troubles controling calories while socializing. I find it easier sometimes to limit my socializing instead, but that is no good in the long term! Here's to making better choices!

    Sounds like a great plan!

Also: socialize all you can, but it's easier if you pick the venue. Some restaurants are easier than others to get low cal food in. Easier still if you invite people over...then you control the menu!
