Sweet Tooth Challenge

On week one of Sparkpeople's Sweet Tooth Challenge so I am posting, per protocol how my day went.

I stayed away from cookies, candy, cake, ice cream....

I ate grapes, drank coffee and ate Fiber One 90 calorie bars.

Since I gave up coffee a while ago and I ate two Fiber One bars I think I am just exchanging one set of calories with another.

The grapes are a good fall back. Tomorrow I will work drinking tea (no sugar) rather then coffee and limit myself to fruit instead of fiber one bars.

    You have made some choices and if you tweak it a bit it will become more natural. You don't expect to be perfect the first day you try something new - you are already making some decisions about how to tweak the plan by switching to tea and fruit instead of Fiber One bars. You might think about adding some other things like a small portion of nuts or something like a frozen fruit smoothie (Ed makes one with water, frozen strawberries or blueberries (or sometimes both), a banana, and a little lemon and lime juice. The flavor is wonderful, it doesn't have any real added calories and it tastes like it SHOULD be forbidden. If it isn't sweet enough, a small amount of either sugar or Splenda will sweeten it up.
