sooo, today i was re-introduced with my treadmill. i decided i HAD to, that i did not have a choice.

Today during work i brought two slim fast shakes and a 1/2 a protein bar (the Met-rx protein plus chocolate chocolate chunk, i LOVE them lol) and i had them all before "schedule, and then jus felt so hungry, i had had about 8 cups of water (i have a 32 oz water bottle that i keep there) so i knew it wasnt thirst, but for some reason i could not shake the munchies, i still felt hungry. so i had two slices of cheese and about a 1/4 cup of cereal. i still had the hunger feeling thirty min after that so i stopped at the corner store on the way home and got a chicken patty on a bun. for some odd unknown reason i still felt hungry thirty min after that so i finished off my daughters spaghetti os (bout a cup of them left)

now what i dont understand is why i still felt hungry after all of that. i did all the tricks that i know, i drank water and waited, and then waited after the "snack" too, and still, there was the hungry/munchy feeling.

well i remembered that back when i was running on the treadmill every night that my appetite had decreased, and that scientific study showed that jogging/running reduced your appetite the next day.

well i made myself do thirty min on the treadmill, ended up doing a mile and a half, alternating jogging and walking. my fastest mile so far is 19 min. hopefully that will improve. but i knew that if i didnt do something and i had that appetite tomorrow, that all my goals for the week would be garbage. so i did it, i also did a little strength training with weights.

i am going to do my measurements today, and keep track of them,

i know i should set mini goals instead of the one big goal, so i guess my first mini goal is to reach 225. thats about 25 lbs.

i sometimes wish i could just blink the fat away one time and then work on keeping it off. but i know thats not possible so small steps it is.

i have many sets of scrubs that i miss wearing too, they are all larges and mediums and i WILL be able to wear them again.

by the way i enjoy all of your feedback soooo much!! i dont know if it notifies you when i comment back under my own blog so i figured i would throw it in here.

    I've been doing smoothies, fruits and veggies this week. I do the 5 mini meals so I feel like I'm muching alot. One thing with smoothies or shakes is I use protein powder which makes me feel full much longer. Not sure if your shakes have protein or fiber but that could help. It may be that you're not eating the right things to keep you fuller longer. Also when I started the mini meals I have to remain consistent or I find that I'm always hungry as someone told me my metabolism is working. So you got to feed it the right fuel that sustains longer. I wish you well on your journey and finding that middle ground.

    I have days like that, I wonder if it could be hormonal? Thank,goodness I have gone thru menopause,lol! I like the fact that you ate food, and not a lot of junk. I am craving cookies right now, so,I decided to spark. I am also going to tie my shoes and get on the treadmill right now. Thanks for sharing!

    Awesome!! Good job for getting on the treadmill! I struggle with the "munchies" too sometimes. Sometimes it feels like no matter WHAT I eat, its never enough. When I was reading your blog, I was thinking I could have written it myself! lol I am still struggling with it. Today I had a small munchie craving for chocolate so I ate a Chewy bar. Not the healthiest, but it curbed my chocolate craving for the moment. Don't know what I'm going to do the next time I get a bigger craving, though. Let me know if you find something that works! I've been telling myself lately "One day at a time, don't think about having to do it again tomorrow, think about what you can do TODAY." Its been helping.

    Good job with getting on the treadmill!

Working out has the opposite effect on me... the day after I work out I am starving all day long! I hope you have a less hungry day tomorrow!

    I love the idea of using slim fast shakes as a meal replacement, but for me they never worked because I was always hungry afterwards. Maybe that's why you were still hungry?

    Congrats on taking the extra steps to fix the munchies the next day!! You have inspired me to do a little extra walk/jogging after work. :) emoticon
