This is an extract from something my mother-in-law sent me.
Unfortunately, I don't know where this extract came from - it was forwarded to my mother-in-law from a friend.
I have no idea at all whether any of the suggested claims are for real.
But, I quite fancy trying this - see my comments after the quoted text.

As I said, I cannot speak for the truth of these claims.
I have absolutely no idea whether this will work for the claims given.
But I'm going to try it anyway as I love lemon or lime flavour on my food.
I know that it will refrigerate for a few days after grating and defrosting.
The other possibility that i've thought about would be to wedge and freeze a 1/2 or 3/4 of the lemon or lime (freezes brilliantly and is then great for a glass of fizzy water!!!) then freeze then grate the rest of it for my day's meals.
I find that lemon is magic with chicken, with many veggies, and with mince or pork, (well, depending how you're cooking the 2 latter, obviously).
I'm so going to try this, especially when I want the wedges (for the fizzy water) and can therefore reduce the amount of grated fruit lying around, to suit my own meals. My 2 guys, I think, wouldn't thank me for lemon over their dinners! At least, not very often, if at all.
