Getting behind....but I WILL bounce back....

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

On March 9th, I was getting ready to do a 5 mile walk (a training walk for a half marathon that is next month), when I was crossing the intersection (my crosswalk signal was on), and the driver, who was turning onto the road, didn't see me and hit me. I was knocked to the ground and I have to be in a leg brace and on crutches for at LEAST 3 weeks. Also, my finances have been at the point where I can't afford veggies, or the foods I have been eating as a part of my lifestyle change (which has meant a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches) right now so I haven't been able to stay "on track" with my plan. But....I WILL bounce back!

So sorry to hear about your accident. I agree with the other have a great mindset. You will be in my prayers. As far as food goes, do you have a food pantry where you can get help? Or food finders?
Do you like kidney beans? They are inexpensive, especially if you buy them dry and cook them yourself. They are a very good source of protein too. I have been known to just grab a handful of them when I want something to snack on!

Thanks Steve! I know if I don't keep pushing forward, that will be a bad thing for me. I can't ever give up!

I like your do not give up mentality, you let nothing bring you down. So sorry to hear about the accident. Good thing the driver had insurance. I hope you can get back on track as soon as possible. It is awesome how you stay so positive no matter what!

NW: Thank you. Yep, he was insured, fortunately. The downside too is I lost my second job. The food I want to stock up on is more fresh type food that perishes quickly (veggies, yogurt, stuff like that) but I know things can and WILL get better. Looking for another job again.
