Weight loss is going slow again -- like, stalled at 151 -- but my strength is growing at a phenomenal speed. I've said that I confound my personal trainer, and that's understandable, but now I even confound myself! The settings are going up by two increments on almost every weight machine I try.
On the Chest Press, which is the machine I used to call my nemesis because I could barely get through three sets of 10 at Level 1, I am now doing three sets of 15 at Level 4.
And on the Row Machine, I did three sets of 20 at Level 6, which is like 130-something pounds.
Well, I still want that denim skirt I talked about, and yesterday I saw a batch of them new on the racks at the superstore I usually shop in. (Okay, it's Wal-Mart.)
Anyway, the rack was full of sizes 10 through 16, but there was one size 8, which I grabbed because that is the size I will be "shrinking into" next. Just to make clear, I do not need a size 10 denim skirt. I recently got a black denim one in that size at the thrift store, and I am actually hoping to not be size 10 for very much longer.
So I brought the size 8 denim skirt home along with a beautiful bright red pencil skirt in size 8 as well. I wanted to try the denim skirt on to see approximately when I should start thinking about wearing it. I know it will sound funny to say this, but UNFORTUNATELY the size 8 denim skirt fit me perfectly.
Basically, the denim skirt was labelled size 8, but it fit like a size 10. I know this because the red pencil skirt fit about like I expected a size 8 to fit. (In other words, I need to lose at least another three pounds before I even think of trying it on again.)
I don't recall seeing any size 6 denim skirts on the rack, so I probably can't exchange it. I'll just have to return the skirt and get my money back. I'm keeping the red pencil skirt though.
