Hi Emily. I posted this on your blog, but I'll post it here too. Maybe what you need is a new kind of challenge. You've master the half marathon and the marathon. Maybe it's time to give a triathalon a shot... or pick up crossfitting. Something new and exciting that can get your blood pumping and spark burning again. I know all too well that frustrated but not frustrated enough feeling. Keep on trying and don't give up. You'll find your way again.

"In, the mean time, I am frustrated. I am not, however, frustrated enough to actually DO anything about it, which frustrates me even more."

OMG - so freaking true here too. I'm starting small - aiming for adding more fruits and veggies and less cookies & ice cream.

Best of luck to you!!

I think this winter has been tough for a lot of us! For me the month of February was an absolute nightmare, with one health issue or obstacle after the other, and I am just now getting back into a good routine. Just be kind to yourself, sometimes life does get in the way and it can be hard to motivate your way back on track. and I totally hear ya on the weather! Today we had a -10 wind chill when I took my son to school. Hellloooo, it's the first day of "spring"! I think once things warm up and you have your races to be motivated for, that will help a lot. Hang in there.

Write a plan - and pay yourself for your exercise. It works for me.

Omg Sister, I have been wearing your same shoes and you know that. There has to be something to this since both of us are going through THE very same thing. Like you, I am smelling the smoke from that very tiny flame and I just may be feeling the warmth of that Spark.

No one can force you (I) to take those steps until you/we are ready. BUT the fact that you can sorta kinda see it is a great sign. I also think that warmer temps (whatever that is) and a new racing season is going to be a huge boost.

Until then, let's hang on together and keep each other from falling completely.
