When I lose 5 pounds....

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

...I am going to buy myself a new workout shirt and donate the same amount of money to charity. I've already made room for it by donating one of my current shirts so now I just have to lose the five pounds.
It won't be easy. I joined a challenge to lose 13 pounds in 2013 and so far (almost) nothing! But I've been trying: watching my intake and boosting up my activity, especially in the last few weeks. So it WILL happen. It's just a matter of time.
And when it does, I'm going to try to be good about maintaining because---sad to say---these 5 pounds are currently listed on my ticker as already gone! I had them off until last fall. So, here they go again (and maybe a few more), and a new shirt will be my reward!

    Hi Mary,
my weight loss has also come to a near standstill these last few weeks - I am trying things like walking faster, chewing slower and drinking more water this week, in the hope that this will speed things up! Hang in there - we are going to feel great that we have persevered! Glad you like crocuses too! emoticon

Oh Mary, I so know where you are coming from, but I still think we can do this.

Oh it will happen! You will make it happen lady! I am in the same boat as you chasing 5 (or 10) pounds up and down all the time but we can do this. Like my good friend Iona says "We are not giving in!"

I really like your plan, by the way, of donating your workout shirts and the same amount of money to charity. Nice!
