I had a very disheartening weigh in on Monday morning, which saw my weight shoot up to 75.6kg, up 1kg from the previous week, and not a weight I'd been for the past 6 weeks throughout my plateau of remaining around 75kg.
But then I measured myself. My waist is 79cm, down from 80.5cm two weeks ago (89cm at start), my bust is 102cm down from 103cm (110cm at start), my hips are 105cm down from 107cm (113cm at start), and my thigh is 60.5cm down from 61cm (65cm at start).
So, since 15 January, the scale says I've only lost 2.9kg, but my measurements lost are:
According to my waist to height ratio of 0.48, I am HEALTHY, and if you looked at waist to hip ratio I'm borderline 'excellent.'
Now today I weighed myself again (as I do every morning), and my weight has finally dipped below the 5% loss and showed me at 74.5kg. Hallelujah!
My new goals, though, are all based on waist measurement. My goal is to lose at least 1cm per month on my waist for the next 3 months. That will get me below a 30 inch waist for the first time in my adult life and would be an amazing achievement.
