I reluctantly got on the scale this morning and find that I'm still losing weight! 178.5 as opposed to 190 In mid February! Finally, I think I've got this.
I've been told by instructors that I have an analytical mind. By being honest with my nutrition tracker, document each and every uh-oh, I am seeing results. In the past, I'd use my ::guesstamation:: at the calories that I was probably ingesting. I'd try to mentally block all of the ::slides:: to the wayside I made with poor food choices.
Last night, I got into my grandson's Easter Candy. Just a mini pack of M&Ms and four gummy bear type fruit snack. I tracked these in my nutrition tracker and hoped I didn't go over my 1500 max allowed calories. Alas, I was about 65 over, but not near as bad as I feared.
I go hard on the calories during the week, but reward myself during the weekends. Still not going berserk, though. :-) My favorite foods happen to be Greek Yogurt, fresh oranges and clementines, raw almonds, hot cocoa (made with water, cocoa powder, and stevia), my own, power tea (made with green tea with lemon, apple cider vinegar, ginger, cinnamon, and stevia), yummy salads with the whole garden of vegetables added, fresh vegetables, etc.
My weakness is cheese, but after tracking my cheese choices the first couple of weeks, I saw where that took me! Maybe I'll just find another favorite food other than cheese, allowing myself an occasional cheese-fest.
