I just feel...icky.

I went out of town this weekend to visit an old friend. I mentally gave myself the weekend off from eating healthy. I stayed Paleo on Friday, but ate a lot of delicious things on Saturday and Sunday I would normally avoid. No regrets!

The problem came on Monday. It's my spring break, but I signed up for a one-credit, 2-day workshop. On Monday, I picked my dog up from boarding at 6:30am and they told me there was some blood in his urine and to keep an eye on it. When we got home, I let him out in the yard and sure enough, there was some blood. I'm so glad he was at boarding when this happened because I don't know if I would've noticed it, it was very subtle and it's not like I squat down and examine his yellow snow patches when he's done. I was freaking out and trying to figure out how big of a deal it was and waiting for the vet to open. We got an appointment for right after my class, but I didn't have time to make my own breakfast, lunch, or snacks like I had been planning to. They offered free breakfast and lunch, so I was stuck with that. I had Chobani yogurt and a banana with peanut butter for breakfast. Not too bad. Lunch was sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Not a vegetable in sight! And it wasn't even good. If I'm going to eat something unhealthy, it better at least taste good! I felt much better that evening when I finished the day with a big salad, topped with steak, avocado, and peppers.

Tuesday was a little better. I ate my own breakfast before class and brought some snacks, but since I was out of town, I didn't really have anything I could bring for lunch, which ended up being salad and lasagna. The salad was just romaine lettuce and croutons, not very good but I took as much as I could. I also had a small piece of veggie lasagna and just felt gross afterwards. Yesterday I had to go straight from the class to the cooking class where I volunteer. We made a chicken and veggie stew, okra, asparagus, cornbread, and oatmeal raisin cookies. Since I already had a bad day, I ended up eating more cornbread and cookies than I should have and just felt gross when I got home.

Enough complaining though. I am SO EXCITED for the rest of the week. Even though I have a lot of schoolwork to do, I can sleep in, make all my meals, and WORKOUT. I haven't worked out since I did 13.2 last Wednesday night. Eek! I'm planning on doubling up tonight with regular class (we're doing Diane) and Oly. I also can't wait to hear what 13.3 is! (Fingers crossed for wall balls!)

PS- My dog probably just has a UTI and is acting like his normal crazy self. He's on meds and will be checked again once they clear his system in 2 weeks. Hope it's nothing worse!

    My dog got a UTI right before I went on vacation. Luckily the boarders were incharge of her medicine and everything is all good. Glad to hear you have the same thing (and it wasn't worse).

I'm excited for 13.3 The speculations are funny. I'm hoping for something with double unders, and a wall ball double under combo wouldn't be bad. Just hoping they steer clear of muscleups, pistol squats, and heavy things overhead!

    Awwwww, sometimes life just gets in the way. :( But you'll bounce back, you always do awesome!!!!!

PS. I totally started Crossfit! Yesterday!!! But I am waiting till the weekend to make a really long blog about my adventurous week I am having!
