I am so sore!!

I made it through yesterday's celebrations. I cried, the daughter cried, even the husband got a bit teary.

I ended up doing my first Insanity Max workout. It was the Max Cardio. The moves weren't "hard," but it was intense and I am SO SORE today! My lower back is aching. I'm sure it's one of the moves. I hold my abs in tightly and maybe I'm holding them in too tight?

I finally get my rest day today. I may take an extra day depending on how my back feels. Some of the moves are crazy. There is one where you put your hands on the floor and jump from one side to the other. I may have to modify this move.

After talking to a couple of others doing Insanity, one has quit, the other has had some "issues," too. She has aggravated her old back injury so has had to change some of the moves. I don't know if it matters, but she's one year younger than me! The warning on the videos may be wise!

I'll be on my 38th day after my rest days. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this! I've actually been thinking about doing the series again...at least the first month. We'll see if I survive this round! emoticon

    You are stronger than me! I have a hard time getting through a half hour of Bollywood. However, keep it up! I also agree, if one of the moves makes you sore then change it as needed! Happy birthday to your daughter(and glad you made it through it ;))

    Very impressive workout!! Hope the soreness is gone very soon. I'm sure you'll use your good judgment to decide on rest days and moves to modify. You know you have to be building strength and muscle. Good for you!! -Marsha

    Sounds like yesterday's celebration was sweet and sentimental.
    Good for you to be able to "push the envelope" with your exercise. Just don't hurt yourself. I am sure you know your body though and what it can do.
