Off to Tasmania for 4 days tomorrow!

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

This is just a quick update and a note to wish you all a safe and healthy week in the lead up to Easter.

Just had a wonderful gift from my Sparkfriend KAILINSTAR in Canada! I so love all my Sparkfriends, even although I haven't been around as much as I would like I continue to receive your support. Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it. emoticon

I have ended the 21 day program early as I was getting sinus headaches and with that I also crave sweet food! It was also going to be difficult to maintain such a strict regime while travelling. It will take my daughter and I 9 hours to get to my home state of Tasmania from here on the West coast of Australia. emoticon We leave Perth at 1130 and arrive in Melbourne at 0300 Perth time which will be 0600 local time. Then a flight to Devonport , Tasmania at 0830 which takes us across Bass Straight , this takes an hour on a much smaller plane.

I have now resumed my normal healthy eating and can go back to eating a bigger variety of fruit and vegetables. I remain mindful of portion control and am keen to get back to some serious exercising once this busyness at work settles down.

We are going to Tasmania to see my nephew perform in the local production of Les Miserable. I have been reading my sister's rave reviews about it so am looking forward to seeing him perform. It will be our first time back since mum's funeral last October so lots of mixed emotions will be felt as we head back.

Must go now and get some sleep before another busy day at work, get packed and head off.

I know too well the pain of sinus headches. Now that
you are eating normally and practising portion control,
you may just get rid of the headaches. Lucky you, going
to Tassie. I hope you have a great time catching up with
family. It's a long trip, but will be worth it. Enjoy Les Mis.

So sorry you weren't feeling well, nothing worse than sinus headaches! Those long plane rides are such a royal pain, I really hate those 'red eye' flightd, talk about disrupting your sleep!
That sounds awesome about your nephew, that was one of my favorite stories that I read over and over when I was first exposed to it in school class. Wish I could have seen the movie with Hugh Jackman, still so busy have no time to see a movie, but its also been too horrible to walk any where either, long, cold terrible winter giving us one last blast.
Too bad you couldn't sneak a couple of photos of your nephew in the play, hint, hint. What part does he play?
Enjoy your trip, and normal eating. Nothing beats healthy eating with good portion control!
