Post Race recovery

Well I got a 30 min on the pre core Monday done. Tuesday my legs where just shot! So it was a self declared rest day. Today is back at it. UGH.. I think I have post race cobwebs in my head. Also I'm working today and I don't want to work. I'm so burnt out from working and I need about 2 weeks to unwind from all of that before I start to function properly again. Can't explain how that works for me but it does. I guess the good news is I work 1/2 a day today, and then I'm off for a week and a half thanks to birthdays, and spring brake!
I have a plan and a goal and I'm need to focus on that. I need to keep the big goal in the picture so I don't have so much post race blues. I've got a lot of 'races' lined up. I think I need to adjust my thinking of them as just bench mark activities. Not true races. I wonder if that mind game will help with the the post race blues.
Next up on the Activity calendar is a Metric century bike ride followed by the 'gator grinder' a 500 yard pool sprint triathlon in May. May is a back to back weekend activity month for me. With a 65mile bike ride, tri sprint, and a 1/2 marathon, all in 4 weeks. Yikes! My goal is to PR, the 1/2 marathon. Then the big race is 2 weeks after that. And today I wonder if I over planned myself. YIKES!
