Meditation musing

Yesterday's meditation e-mail did not arrive until after I'd gone to work, so I found myself in the situation of meditating in the evening, after my treadmill run, then this morning it was already in the in-box for today, and I did the meditation while the steel cut oats simmered.

This particular series, centering on health and balance of mind and body has been particularly refreshing. Even more so than the two I have participated in previously. I don't know whether this is topical, timing with life, or growth related, but it doesn't matter: it is, and it is helpful right now. For this I am grateful.

So on to today's pep talk: Tuesday went well, and according to plan.

* Today is full of meetings. Take the day one meeting at a time.
* Remember to breathe.
* Drink your water.
* Eat what's in the bag, that's why you packed it.
* You don't need what people have brought for the "food day".
* Take those break walks, even if they are not at the "normal" time.

Oh, and congrats to SPINNINGJW, a new Spark member, but a life-long presence in my life (youngest sister). She's graduating with an Associates in Physical Therapy today, and committing herself to healthy habits... and just joined Spark, so if you want to stop by her Spark page to wish her well, it would be totally cool!

    I really like the flexibility implied in taking your break walks even if they're not at the normal time -- I have to remind myself sometimes that doing things I want to do doesn't have to be on a strict schedule (even though I still claim it needs to be done sometime)!

    I'm doing the perfect health meditation challenge as well, and I agree, this is particularly helpful. It's wonderful that you *sparked* your sister to join!
