I hit the ground running at work, and didn,t stop until 5.30. Unfortunately that is metaphorically running, days like today I am lucky to crack 3000 steps, because I am pretty much tied to my desk. Time was, I would drag myself home, late, tired, and sore from too much computer time. I would eat to try to give myself some energy, and sleep poorly because despite being exhausted, my body would not be tired.
Tonight, DH picked me up after work and we went to the pool. He went to the gym and I did two hours in the hot pool. Hard work, too!
At the end I did a good half hour of stretches, followed by a length of handstands. (I've been recalling how I used to love doing headstands and shoulder stands in yoga, back in the day.)
And I had a breakthrough.
I did 2 x60 seconds of quads stretches each leg with my knees together and MY HEEL TOUCHING MY BUTT. For the first time in, oh, I don't know how long. This is a big deal, because I have trouble with this stretch, and I never thought I would get there. So I am having a little skite to you, SParkbuddies.
Next step - doing it on land!
Anyway, got home feeling rather limber and fresh after my workout, made a big salad, because it's too late to eat anything substantial at 8.30, and here I sit, basking in my fabulous stretchiness.
