Thank you to everyone that has listened to (or rather, read) my whining about the class I am taking and how poorly I have been doing. It was for good reason. On our two tests (there have only been two) I got a 55% and a 68%. Yeah, that is not good, nor is that typical of my testing. For the final the teacher suggested looking over our previous tests. I did that. I looked at the questions, looked up what I got wrong and why, what the terms were that I didn't understand, I really learned some of this stuff. I ended up with a 95% on the final. That brought my 86% to a 90.5%. Woo!
And how did this affect my day? I was stressed. I got a little bit of grading done. I studied. I helped with an hour and 15 minute presentation, then I studied. I had a piece of thin crust veggie pizza (the class got it just for me). I studied. I had a hershey chocolate bar. I studied. I had to sit in on an interview. I studied. I studied and I reviewed and then I had to be done.
After the final we discussed a few answers that we didn't agree with. She corrected a few things, had grades entered and we could go. I came home and finally had dinner. I couldn't eat earlier as I was so stressed I felt like I wanted to puke. I considered stopping for something at the grocery store "because I didn't have any meat for protein". I finally decided to have a protein shake and my veggies and skipped the grocery store (YAY, I didn't buy junk!). I reheated my veggies and logged my food. I still had some calories to play with, even with the pizza and the chocolate bar. Not the most nutritious, but still made it work in my calories. I was even able to have a glass of wine again tonight. Since drinking wine was part of the doctors orders, I got a box of wine. It lasts longer and is cheaper than the equivalent 3 bottles. I got a brand that does also make bottles. Good stuff.
Anyway, tomorrow I am going in a bit late so I can take hubby to get a rental car while his gets fixed. This means I can head to bed now and still get up to do a training day for my 5K. YAY!
OH, I also got complimented today that I was "looking very skinny minnie." I think it is just because the sweater is a bit too big for me, but it is my favorite purple color and I am not quite ready to part with it, and I need all the warmer clothes I can get this winter. It is supposed to be COLD again tonight. Hoping for a warm up, just in time to get more snow. Yippie skippy! Remind me why I like MN...please.
