I've been MIA. My diet hasn't been perfect though it's improved a bit. Haven't been to the gym much...still suffering from my cold or whatever it is. Now I've just got a random bad cough that comes and goes when it pleases. Very dry and unpleasant- once I start coughing I have a hard time stopping.
When I began the BeFit program in January I couldn't do a real push-up. Honestly... I never have been able to. Even on my knees I suffer. BUT I CAN DO A REAL PUSH-UP NOW. I can't get -all- the way down, but my form has totally improved since starting the program. On my toes, butt down, elbows bent. Hell yeah.
My arms are still fat, but the muscle is now definitely there hiding under the chub. Bre complimented my squats last week, and I'm having an easier time doing split squats (sort of like lunges) without holding onto something for support. They're still a challenge as my balance really is poor (in general I'm a klutz).
I didn't go to class tonight because of bad weather- we got ANOTHER snowstorm and it's been snowing since last night. My boss let me leave at 1 pm so I booked it home and definitely wasn't going back out. BUT I will be going Thursday and hopefully won't miss any more classes until the end of the program (this month! sad face). I've also told Joe I'd like to keep going to classes or maybe sign up for another program if they offer something similar. I like the small group size that the BeFit program is (there's only about 7 of us now) and the variety that classes provide because really, all I do on my own is cardio. So... I need to keep the motivation going.
I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow on lunch. Determined. Didn't take a break today since I was leaving early.
I was in a baking mood so there's made-from-scratch oatmeal raisin cookies in the oven... yum. I'll try not to eat too many! :-D
