I have pre-ordered the new book and got 3 free months of SparkCoach. After looking through the various plans offered, I chose Plateau breaking. I know what works for me but, my motivation and consistency has been lost. It reminds me to do the things that I know work and I get points for checking them off. I like points!

Write a blog about your plateau. How long have you been stuck in a plateau? What have you done so far to try and overcome it? Within your blog, make a commitment to stick with your 4-week plateau-busting plan.
I started going backwards just before Thanksgiving. I had one of the worst days in over 25 years of teaching. I found that my trust had been abused by a student that I had taken under my wing. It made me doubt myself and my judgement. Were the choices I was making good ones? Why bother?
I went back to old habits of consoling my bruised feelings with food. It wouldn't have gotten so bad, but I stopped moving as well. I am currently 17 pounds heavier than I was at the beginning of November. I know what to do; I know what works for me. I am using the Plateau Buster to break through in a significant way. I needed something different. I started yesterday with accurately tracking both my food and my exzercise. I am wearing my pedometer from the time I get dressed each morning. I am carrying a large bright orange water bottle everywhere I go and making plans in my orange notebook. (Orange is my favorite color.) Actually, I started over the weekend by getting all my clothing for the week ready to wear. Yesterday, I stopped at a drug store and bought a non-slip steel reinforced tip for my cane to help with my balance issues and a beautiful new nail color. I did my nails last night and they have made me smile all day long.
Over the next 4 weeks, I plan to track food and fitness; eat higher quality foods; and celebrate one non-scale victory per day. ( I didn't put in the water because I get my 8 cups-I need more than that to feel good.)
