10K Race Results

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Well I finished my first 10K of the year this past weekend so I was quite happy! The Run to the Pub is such a fun race and the energy is amazing! emoticon There were 2400 racers this year which was up 800 participants from last year. Downtown Bozeman was a regular street party after the race. I would highly recommend this 10K race to everyone! It makes a great 1st 10K as much of the course is downhill.

The race was a little more challenging than last year as they changed the course and added a couple hills. The hill between mile 3 and 4 got the best of me and my left leg that has been giving problems started to feel some pain. I pushed through to finish with a time of 1 hr 12 min. I think now I need to focus on getting this leg issue cleared up!

I'm looking at the possibility of fitting in a few 5K races this spring but my children's soccer schedules are sure making it difficult. Games are on Saturdays for one and Sundays for another. Keeping fingers crossed that maybe I can make a few work!

You did fantastic! If I ever get up to doing a 10K, I will surely remember the Run to the Pub. Don't forget the Color Me Rad in May in Missoula. Going to try to get my daughter to do it just for fun. You should bring your kids too! emoticon Definitely get your leg checked out. No bueno!

Do you live in Bozeman? There is a 5K in Billings at the end of the month, then the Icebreaker in Great Falls on April 28, then the Women's Run (2 or 5 mile) in Billings the day before Mother's day. I will have to remember the 10K in Bozeman for next year! Planning on going to the Sweet Pea Festival and doing that 10K. So much fun!
