Wow, has it really been a year almost since I last wrote a blog entry?
Since my last entry, we got a puppy and I've been walking him. I lost 5 lbs within the first month, and then maintained that without dropping more, thanks to the crazy snow and ice we get every winter. Walking a black dog on a poorly lit street down sidewalks that remain unshoveled and turn into ice seemed a worse choice than not walking at all, so instead I played in the snow with him and walked on the treadmill (a little).
I also just signed up for my region's Warrior Dash. A friend recently died and she was always trying to get us to run it with her, so we formed a team in her memory. This way she can laugh at us as we fall on our asses in the mud. I have 4 months to train, which should be sufficient. It's an obstacle 5k, lots of upper body strength needed, so hopefully this will motivate me to work on that.
