Anyone who has spent time on the QuitNet or gotten support around quitting smoking knows that the above title refers to Not One Puff Ever. It's a kind of mantra that we ex-nicotine addicts share. Another is "You're just a puff away from a pack a day."

I always said that smoking was my "GO" button. I didn't do anything without having a cig first. Now I know that I was self-medicating my sick heart and counting on the nicotine to keep it revved. No accident that my heart stopped just two months into my last quit attempt, but I was really lucky it didn't go undetected any longer.

So, no real point, just thought I'd celebrate 2.25 years of smobriety!

Your Quit Date is: 12/19/2010
Time Smoke-Free: 821 days, 14 hours, 26 minutes and 47 seconds
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 16432
Lifetime Saved: 4 months, 5 days, 12 hours
Money Saved: $7,799.50

Congrats!! I quit 11 years ago. DH has quit 3 times in the last 3 years, he just started again about a month ago, grrrr! He's only smoking 3 a day so he thinks it's ok.

Hey that's excellent - congratulations! As an ex-smoker myself I know how hard it is to give up. I'm so glad I did. Can't remember how many years it is now but by your calculations, I must have saved a lot of money!
