Anyone who has spent time on the QuitNet or gotten support around quitting smoking knows that the above title refers to Not One Puff Ever. It's a kind of mantra that we ex-nicotine addicts share. Another is "You're just a puff away from a pack a day."

I always said that smoking was my "GO" button. I didn't do anything without having a cig first. Now I know that I was self-medicating my sick heart and counting on the nicotine to keep it revved. No accident that my heart stopped just two months into my last quit attempt, but I was really lucky it didn't go undetected any longer.

So, no real point, just thought I'd celebrate 2.25 years of smobriety!
