Seems like I made a mistake with my last blog --- it's still hibernation time. Another no school day today. LOTS of snow.
And I decided that I need to write myself this reminder so I don't call myself wimpy when the heat of summer keeps me in the house too.
This the first time I can ever remember the school system trying to figure out where to get extra days for school. The latest option was Good Friday or a Saturday to be named later.
The cold does not stop me. I'm an expert at clothes layers after a lifetime of New England winters.
Ice in its many forms --- slush, refrozen puddles of black ice, leftovers the plow didn't push aside, etc., etc. --- ice stops me. So does a huge pile of snow on every street corner. And narrowed streets and roads. I vaguely remember the placement of sidewalks! Cars don't expect pedestrians out enjoying the fresh air this time of year!
I guess I bought into the lifestyle thing. An hour in the basement on my treadmill holds no appeal. I want to go outside. I want to breath the air, and watch the clouds, and wave at neighbors, and pat the dogs that know me on the head.
